Festival season was back this year! With that being said, Britfest got the green light and Britannia Movers were able to put together and launch an event unlike any of their previous. Being a proud supplier to the Britannia network, we here at TwentyCi got our flowery shirts and sunglasses on and made our way. Queue Liam and Marlon…
I caught up with the guys recently to find out about attending their first event for TwentyCi since they joined the company this year.

Question: What were your thoughts of Britfest overall as an event?
Answer: Firstly, so well organised!! There was something for everyone, if you didn’t want to get involved in activities, you could just chill and chat.
Question: Being that it was your first one, did you find it was good for networking?
Answer: I really did! People were very friendly, happy to chat, share what was going well and what struggles they've had, but in a very relaxed way. Much easier chatting over a drink, or something to eat than expecting people to just share details.
Question: Highlight – what did you enjoy most?
Answer: I really enjoyed meeting so many people. Not only from a work perspective, but building personal relationships, that will help build towards future events.
Question: Lowlight – what would you change/improve?
Answer: I don’t think there is much I would change, apart from maybe a few more soft drink options (especially after the night before).
Question: Would you go again?
Answer:100%. From both a work and personal perspective, it was brilliant.
Question: What is the one thing you take away from Britfest?
Answer: How much people in the industry look after each other, from one company to the next, there is a real community feel, and everyone wants their colleagues to do well.

Question: What were your thoughts of Britfest overall as an event?
Answer: It was very well put together, from the entertainment to the food to the activities, it had something for everyone. The size of the venue was perfect too – it didn’t feel super cramped like it usually does in the larger festivals.
Question: Being that it was your first one, did you find it was good for networking?
Answer: It was spot on. Networking to me isn’t about talking business and crunching numbers, it’s about relationships. Being able to chat, drink, take part in activities (whilst being a liiittle bit competitive) allowed people to bond as people, and then if the work chat followed it was much more organic.
Question: Highlight – what did you enjoy most?
Answer: The food…a solid 9/10 from me!
Question: Lowlight – what would you change/improve?
Answer: The only thing I’d improve would be the security on entrance to the site – perhaps better training.
Question: Would you go again?
Answer: Definitely, it was a real relaxed and enjoyable couple of days.
Question: What is the one thing you take away from Britfest?
Answer: The purpose of the Britfest was to allow people to let their hair down after the difficult 18 months everyone has had – this is a real show of community. Everyone that I spoke to appreciated even being able to be at a festival and see some of the faces that they haven’t seen in a while.
It really was a great event that was enjoyed by everyone who attended of all ages! Keep an eye out for Marlon, Liam and the rest of the guys here who may well be attending an event with you shortly - both virtually and in person.
